About us

In her honor, I founded Raniah’s Light Foundation, Inc. This nonprofit was born from her spirit and the inspiration she continues to give us. Our mission is to provide support and resources for youth in need—those who are navigating grief, instability, or life transitions. My hope is for this foundation to grow into a beacon of hope, providing shelter, mentorship, and educational opportunities for generations to come.

Raniah was a young woman of incredible character, resilience, and vision. She believed deeply in kindness, education, and in using her gifts to uplift others. Her goals were rooted in making a difference—she dreamed of building a future where young people, especially those facing hardship, could have the support and opportunities they deserved.

Along with the foundation, we created The Raniah Rowley Memorial Scholarship. Raniah believed deeply in education and the doors it could open. The scholarship is designed to support students who embody her values of perseverance, compassion, and determination especially those pursuing careers in midwife and nursing. These fields reflect her nurturing spirit and her belief in caring for others at the most critical moments of life.

Losing Raniah is a pain beyond words, but her light continues to shine through this work. My hope is that every person touched by the foundation or the scholarship will carry a piece of her spirit with them her love, her resilience, and her belief in a brighter tomorrow.

My name is Mynette Mallet, and I am the founder of Raniah’s Light Foundation, Inc. I started this nonprofit in honor of my daughter, Raniah Rowley, whose life and light continue to inspire me every day. Through this foundation, I am dedicated to creating safe spaces, resources, and opportunities for youth and families facing hardships.

My passion for this work comes from both my personal journey and my professional commitment to helping others. I believe in giving back, uplifting my community, and carrying forward Raniah’s dreams and aspirations by supporting young people in reaching their full potential.

The foundation is not just an organization—it’s a movement of love, hope, and resilience. By partnering with others who share this vision, I am determined to turn loss into legacy and ensure that Raniah’s light continues to shine in the lives of others.
